What To Do Wednesday: The best in punk and blues

Two very different Wednesday shows for your perusal:

(1) Ex-Whites, the new Columbus punk band I raved about in last week's paper, will play Cafe Bourbon Street, 2216 Summit St., alongside brethren from Minnesota (The Sinks) and a pair from New Jersey (Liquor Store and Highest Power. This'll be your standard Bobo show: 10 p.m., $5.

(2) Way on the other end of the spectrum, the local blues royalty known as Sean Carney Band will play Martini Park, 4040 Easton Station. This is outside my realm of expertise, but Carney commands so much respect that he's probably worth peeping some time even if blues ain't your bag.
