Biking Dillon State Park
Dillon State Park, about 50 miles east of Columbus, is a popular place for four-season fun. There's sledding, ice skating, archery, hiking, fishing, disc golf, swimming and boating on the giant lake that gives the park its name.
Me, I go for the 12 miles or so of quality, demanding off-road biking. (Columbus riders: This is the best place to go once you've graduated from Alum Creek's Phase 1 but aren't yet sure about Phase 2.)
Full trail review after the jump...
First of all, the trail map you'll find at the park homepage is not useful. Take THIS MAP instead. It's provided by the wonderful people at Appalachia Outdoor Adventures, who maintain the trail.
When entering Dillon from State Rt. 146, turn onto Clay Littick Drive, turn left on Dillon Hills Drive and make your first right. The best trailhead will be on your left in a field. When you park, you should be able to see the lake.
