Local Love: Wing & Tusk hits iTunes

Wing & Tusk's The Secret of Toadflax Tea, one of the most ambitious records to come out of Columbus last year, is now available through the iTunes store. (Here's my feature from last August.) Buy the damn thing! If you like painstakingly conceived and arranged narrative indie rock epics, it's a purchase you won't regret.

As for what's next, singer-guitarist Josh Rea writes: "Kind of at a loss for what the next project will be. We have an idea for the next story album, but we don't know if we're ready to make 10 more songs in that style. Story albums are not easy to write. But an EP of 5 songs about death might be a little more up our current alley."

Rea also hinted at a possible collaboration with the stupendous St. Moses the Black, with whom they now share a member (Nat Hagey). A split 7-inch is possible, but it's all speculation at this point.
