What To Do Monday: A Sunny Day In Glasgow

When I previewed tonight's show by A Sunny Day In Glasgow, I managed to make it through the entire piece without mentioning My Bloody Valentine. But there's a strong hint of "Loveless", particularly the less aggressive parts of the album's mid-section, ingrained in this Philadelphia combo. I've seen people pull that sound off before at Cafe Bourbon Street, 2216 Summit St., but it takes a keen combination of skill and luck to sound sleek in a place wired for grimey punk, metal and shitgaze. (It's all about dynamics, people!)

This'll be $7 at the door, which opens at 8 p.m. Acrylics (not to be confused with The Acrylics) will open.
