The Latin answer to Skillet? First Bite: Si Senor!

It's only been open a scant three days, but the sandwiches I had today at Si Senor! were fantastic! On pretty nice, lightly toasted ciabatta rolls came super juicy meats outfitted with wonderful ingredients. From L to R.: Jumping Beef, a glorious mess of au jus roast beef with sauteed onions, manchego cheese and avocado mayo; Chicharron Peruano (fried chunks of tender pork shoulder with pickled onions and a sweet potato mayo) -- awesome, like a great carnitas taco on a roll; and I loved this house-roasted, real-deal turkey breast sammie (Turkey Breast with Jalapenos) which had caramelized onions, manchego and a spicy but applied-with-restraint jalapeno relish.

Okay, were they really as impressive as Skillet's sandwiches when I first discovered that gem? Not quite, but what is?

Expect a review of this exciting (if dinky), to-go-oriented sandwich shop soon. Si Senor! is located at 6 Long Street (227-0070) and is open Monday thru Friday from 10am to 4pm.
