What To Do Monday: The xx

In my interview with Romy Madley Croft of The xx, she mentioned the whispery young British trio are sticklers about their live sound. So the Wexner Center, 1871 N. High St., with its crystalline P.A. and always attentive audience, should be a perfect fit for the band's infectious blend of twee, R&B and new wave. Joining the buzz band will be fellow hypemongers (and fellow lowercase specialists) jj, a Swedish pop-dub duo signed to Secretly Canadian, and the experimental hip-hop of L.A.'s Nosaj Thing. This begins promptly at 9 p.m., and though it's sold out, the Wex may release a few more $15 tickets this afternoon. Check the tweets.
