Famed Mexican chef Rick Bayless will star in WOSU TV's "Chefs in the City," a culinary event scheduled to air 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. You may know Bayless from Bravo's "Top Chef Master" competition, which he won, and from the show "Mexico: One Plate at a Time," which airs on WOSU TV at 2 p.m. Saturdays.

The special, themed "Local Foods and Organic Ingredients" will feature cooking demonstrations and dishes from local chefs including Barcelona's Paul Yow, Refectory's Richard Blondin, High Street Grill's Wilhelm Novak, Z Cucina's Travis Hyde, and Jeni Britton from Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams.

"Chefs in the City" will be taped between 5:30 and 10 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in front of a live audience in the Battelle Studio at WOSU@COSI. Tickets to the taping are sold out. Proceeds from "Chefs in the City" benefit children's educational programming on WOSU TV.
