Things to do this weekend: Music, Drinks and Can You Believe This Painful Weather(?!?) edition

Tonight: come endure the humidity (better than the heat, right?) at North Market's annual Food and Ohio Wine Festival. I'll be there, pouring some fantastic Ohio wines!

Tomorrow: endure the sunshine and heat (and maybe less humidity!) at the fifth annual Here Comes Your Weekend Parking Lot Blowout held in the parking lot just north of Surly Girl. Party like it's 1992 with The New Bomb Turks, Gibson Bros and Scrawl. I'll be there!

Other things to celebrate over the next coupla days: This week, the venerable Clarmont Restaurant turned 63. Wish happy birthday to the old seafood and steak palace as you enjoy a fantastic $31 porterhouse.

Congratulations are also due to the folks behind Columbus Food Adventures, which made its website debut this week and will begin tours at the end of July. Bethia Woolf has put a lot of effort and eating into this labor of love, an idea whose time has come.
