Get ready to pound some PBR and sing your lungs out.

(OK, so you probably do that a lot already. Well, get ready to drink more and sing louder.)

Drunken Dayton basement pop legends Guided By Voices already announced that their "classic" 1993-96 lineup would reunite for Matador Records' amazing 21st birthday bash this fall in Las Vegas. Today comes confirmation that Robert Pollard and company will be trekking across the country once again, including an Oct. 16 stop at Outland on Liberty. $25 tickets go on sale through Ticketweb starting at 10 a.m. Friday and at the club beginning Friday afternoon.

GBV, one of the leading lights of 1990s indie rock, hails from Dayton. But they were essentially a Columbus band early in their career, when they would often travel east to play Stache's and other High Street spots. I was too young to see the original lineup in their glory days, but the two times I caught GBV in Columbus, the concerts were three-hour marathons with epic, 40-song setlists and a huge crowd of family and friends guzzling beers behind the band on stage. The rock and the revelry were truly remarkable.

What's more, Columbus GBV disciples Times New Viking will be on board for most of the tour dates. Full schedule after the jump.
