What I Ate: The Brand New Gallo's Kitchen
If, like me, you're a fan of the best sports bar in Columbus, then you're likely eager to try the just-opened, more ambitious dining venture by the same family called Gallo's Kitchen. I went there last night, and the place did not disappoint. To give you a taste of what its cuisine is like, I heard a Louis Prima tune followed by a number by Clifton Chenier. Here's a little look:
High quality, housemade Italian sausage-- two real biggies!-- with sauteed sweet peppers and onions playing nicely off a tart, homey marinara sauce
Lovely, fresh tasting pan-seared walleye in a rich and zesty, Louisiana-style cream sauce populated with lots of good and firm crawfish; highly recommended!
Black peppery chicken etouffe, the best I've had in Columbus in quite a while
