The Fall's founder and frontman Mark E. Smith says the worst thing about their growing popularity at festivals is having to be around new bands that he doesn't like.

After being forced to listen to Mumford and Sons warm-up--or "Sons of Mumford" as Smith refers to them--while at a festival in Ireland, Smith became so irate with their "terrible" music that he told them to shut up. When they didn't, he took matters into his own hands and chucked a beer bottle at them.

Smith was later informed the group is number five in the charts, to which he responded, "I just thought they were a load of retarded Irish folk singers." Brilliant. Smith makes Johnny Rotten look like a cuddly teddy bear.
