Showtime has unveiled the trailer for their upcoming series "Shameless" starring Oscar-nominee William H. Macy, Emmy-winner Allison Janney and Emily Rossum ("Phantom of the Opera").

"Shameless" is an Americanized version of the award-winning U.K. dramady following a large family struggling to get by. Macy plays Frank, the alcoholic patriarch of the Gallagher family, and Rossum plays Fiona, the responsible 18 year-old trying to hold everything together.

While it's not an original concept, the cast is stellar and the trailer shows some promising characters to round out the family--the two older sons look to have an interesting relationship--even if there are some token broken family situations.

"Shameless" premiers Sunday, January 9th on Showtime with new comedy "Episodes" starring Matt LeBlanc and the fourth season of "Californiacation."
