What To Do Wednesday: So Many Dynamos at The Summit

So Many Dynamos have been kicking around the fringes of the indie rock hype cycle for nearly a decade now. I remember getting promo copies of their albums at my college radio station, which is longer ago than I'd like to admit. Back then they resembled a minor-league version of spastic dance-punk forefathers like Les Savy Fav and The Dismemberment Plan. So I was surprised to find out they've signed with Vagrant (formerly an emo stronghold, but now home to acts like Paul Westerberg and The Hold Steady) and streamlined into an indie pop act in the vein of We Are Scientists. More on these guys in my preview of tonight's show.

Also appearing will be locals Mr. Tiger and Jonathan Hape, whose band is now performing under the name Honeymoon. 8 p.m. doors, $7 cover at The Summit, 2210 Summit St.
