Dave Grohl spurns Glee

While at SXSW, Dave Grohl told Hollywood Reporter that "Glee" won't be singing any Foo Fighters songs because it's just not his "thing." He also said, “It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do f---ing 'Glee,'” refering to "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy's comments in January about Kings of Leon and Slash refusing to have their music on the show.

Look, I'm not a "Glee" fan, but I can see why the show is popular and I can see recognize some of its creative merits (in season 1), but Murphy just strikes me a kind of a jerk. So, kudos to Grohl for calling Murphy out on his egotism. Dave Grohl was ranked the sixth greatest Ohioan by Alive just a few weeks back, but statements like, “And then the guy who created 'Glee' is so offended that we’re not, like, begging to be on his f---ing show… f--- that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do 'Glee,'” surely deserve him a bump up a few slots.
