Hubbard Grille is hosting a special happy hour today to raise money and show support for Daniel Morris, the restaurant’s general manager, who has fallen seriously ill.

The restaurant, 793 N. High St., will open an hour early for the event, which runs from 3-6 p.m. Any money spent at Hubbard today, including tips, will help Morris’ family with the costs of his medical care. Happy hour attendees can also bid on silent auction items donated by neighborhood businesses, artists and friends.

Hubbard Grille has set up a Facebook event called A Benefit Happy Hour for Daniel; Facebook users can RSVP to the event through the page and check out the dozens of other folks who plan to attend.
