In what is sure to be one of the most bizarre (and potentially awesome) developments coming out of the Cannes Film Festival, there are reports that director Quentin Tarantino wants to put oddball pop star/egg inhabitant Lady Gaga in an upcoming movie.

It's not clear whether QT is thinking of Gaga for a part in "Django Unchained," Tarantino's planned spaghetti western. Rumored cast for that already includes Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz of "Inglourious Basterds."

I've made it known that I love Tarantino. I think Gaga could potentially be pretty great in a movie. After all, there's no lack of theatrics in her public persona.

And apparently Tarantino and Gaga have been friends since Gaga asked to borrow the Pussy Wagon from "Kill Bill" for her "Telephone" video.
