Local advocacy group Yay Bikes! and the Ohio State University have partnered to launch a new initiative designed to introduce students to cycling in Columbus, teach safe biking techniques and raise awareness about life on two wheels.

The How We Roll campaign begins at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, on the west plaza of the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St. The kick-off party will feature music from DJ Beat Oracle, free pizza and pop, free bicycle tune-ups from Paradise Garage, gear giveaways and the campaign's first free educational tours of Columbus.
