Wolf's Ridge opens its new taproom Friday
After a long wait, Wolf's Ridge Brewing opens its taproom to the public at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23.
Located at the back of building, the taproom will feature 20 taps of Wolf's Ridge beer, including seasonal and experimental brews. The taproom includes bar seating and about six communal tables. In lieu of the regular restaurant menu, Chef Seth Lassak has created a special menu of bar snacks for the taproom, like cumin and coriander dusted potato chips, spicy pickled beets and pot de creme.
Head brewer Chris Davison is "using his taproom as his playground," according to Wolf's Ridge rep Melissa Petty. He's kicking off the taproom with a huge line-up of specialty and infusion beers. The big feature is varieties of his Dire Wolf Russian imperial stout, including coffee, vanilla, chocolate and chili flavors. He's also offering barrel-aged takes on the Dire Wolf, like a rum barrel and a coffee rum barrel version.
Other specialty beers showing up include a new Doppelbock, the Alpha Belgian tripel aged in barrels from Watershed Distillery, the Luck Strikes Twice IPA on nitro tap and double-spiced version of his Pi pumpkin ale made with cinnamon, vanilla and ancho chili.
The taproom opens at 3 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Eventually, the taproom will be open Tuesdays through Sundays in the later afternoon and evening.
